Community Guidelines

Contents
Inkference is a place to build, plan and share your work. These guidelines keep it safe and useful for everyone. They are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything on Inkference: posts, projects, photos, videos, stories, comments, messages, profiles, Library binders, communities, enterprises, booths, reviews, music, playlists, tools, rooms and custom emoji.
Be respectful
- No harassment or bullying. Don't target, insult, threaten or pile on anyone.
- No hate. Don't attack people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or serious illness.
- Don't share someone's private information (home address, phone number, private photos, school schedule and the like) without their permission.
Keep it safe
- No violence or threats, and no content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism or violent groups.
- No content that encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services.
- No dangerous challenges or instructions that could get people hurt.
No sexual content
- No nudity, pornography or sexual content of any kind.
- Never post, ask for or share sexual content involving anyone under 18. We remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities.
Be real
- Don't pretend to be another person, artist, brand, school or organization.
- No fake accounts, fake reviews or fake ratings, and no misleading business pages.
- No spam: no mass messages, repeated posts, link farms or ads that weren't asked for.
- No scams, phishing or malware, and no tools or links that trick people.
Respect people's work
- Only post work you made or have the rights to share. This includes notes, photos, videos, music and code.
- Give credit when you build on someone else's work, and follow its license.
- No leaked tests, exams or answer keys, and nothing that helps people cheat.
- Only upload music you own or have the rights to. Artists can ask to claim their artist page.
Selling and money
- Only sell things that are legal where you and your buyer are. No weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vaping products, counterfeit goods, stolen items, or adult products or services.
- Describe what you sell honestly, and deliver what you promise.
- Rate a booth only for an order you actually placed, and keep reviews about the order.
Use Inkference fairly
- Don't try to get around a ban, suspension, block or limit.
- Don't use bots or scripts outside our Developer API, and don't scrape other people's data.
- Don't try to break or test our security without permission. Report security problems to inkference@gmail.com.
Reporting and blocking
If something breaks these guidelines, report it with the report option on the post, comment, profile, booth, binder, song or other item. Pick the reason that fits best:
- Spam or scam, or a fake account
- Nudity or sexual content
- Hate or harassment
- Violence or danger
- Stolen work or copyright
- Pretending to be someone else
- Shares someone's private info
- Cheating (leaked tests or answers)
- Selling something not allowed
- Fake or misleading
- Inappropriate pictures or text
- Something else
Reports are private. The person you report isn't told who reported them. You can also block anyone. Blocked people can't see your content, message you or find your profile.
If you think someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
What happens when rules are broken
Our team and community moderators review reports. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- hide content while we review it, or remove it,
- mute someone in a community, or remove them from it,
- limit features on an account,
- suspend an account for a time, or ban it for good,
- report it to the police or other authorities when someone may be in danger or the law requires it.
Community owners and moderators may set extra rules for their community, as long as they don't conflict with these guidelines.
If you think we made a mistake, email inkference@gmail.com with a link to the content or your username, and we will take another look.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as Inkference grows. We post the new version here with a new date.
